The Materials We Use

#1 Grade Premium Douglas Fir Lumber

Our #1 Grade Premium Douglas Fir Lumber is special-ordered and sourced from Idaho and Montana.

29-Gauge Metal Roofing (SM-RIB)

Our 29-Gauge Metal Roofing and related trim materials (i.e., Ridge Caps, J-Channel, etc.) come with a manufacturer's 40-year limited warranty.

16-Gauge Black PVC-Coated Hardware Cloth

Our 16-Gauge Black PVC-Coated Hardware Cloth is heavy duty and special-ordered with a grid pattern that measures 1/2" x 1/2". It is the highest quality available anywhere and the black PVC coating resists corrosion while reducing unwanted glares - making it easy to see your chickens within.

Polycarbonate Windows

Our windows are built to last using polycarbonate material - they won't shatter like glass or yellow in the sun like acrylic.

Stainless Steel and Exterior Grade Hardware

From the 1-1/4" Stainless Steel Staples to our 2-1/2" Blue-Coated Kreg Pocket Screws, every bit of hardware we choose to use in our custom coops is of the appropriate specification and highest quality.
